Grief Recovery Groups
Grief recovery groups are sponsored by Chaplain Services. New adult groups begin the first Monday of January, April, July, and October for seven weeks (child and teen groups begin one week later.) Supporting grieving persons in the process of moving from pain to healing is the goal of grief recovery.

Klasses 4 Kidz is an educational program for school-age children with cancer and blood disease. This group provides illness-related information at age-appropriate levels with hands-on activities. Pulmonary Hypertension Support Group is the only group in the Inland Empire designed to inform and support patients and families living with pulmonary hypertension. The group meets quarterly for three hours in the Collins Auditorium, Drayson Center: 25040 Stewart Street, Loma Linda. It is open to pulmonary hypertension patients of all ages, including pediatric patients and their families. Lunch is provided. Call (909) 558-4489 for more information.

Teen Connection, a support/activity group for teenagers (age 11+) with cancer and blood diseases, is governed by and for teens to promote positive attitudes and adaptation to their diseases. Butterfly Program
The Butterfly Program is designed to provide support to families who are grieving the loss of their baby through miscarriage, stillbirth, or newborn death. We are aware that this is an emotional time for you and your needs are very special. We offer these pages as a resource to you in hopes that we can be helpful as you walk this difficult journey. Diabetes Education
Diabetes education at Loma Linda University Children's Hospital is a service to help children and families learn to manage and live with this disease. Diabetes educators attempt to visit all diabetic patients during their stay in the Children's Hospital and are available to meet with outpatients as well. If you would like to see a diabetes educator or desire more information about the service, ask your nurse to request a visit or contact 909-558-4424.
Head Smart Bicycle Helmet Program
Head Smart bicycle helmet program, an ongoing effort to protect cyclists, offers bicycle helmets to the community for only $10. Come to room 8700G at the Medical Center, Monday through Friday or call 909-558-4704 for more information.

Pet Enrichment Therapy (P.E.T.)
The Pet Enrichment Therapy (P.E.T.) program recognizes the therapeutic value of canine visits to rehabilitate patients physically, mentally, and emotionally. The P.E.T. Program is coordinated by the volunteer office. The volunteers and animals are specially trained. Patients are screened and must have physician approval and written consent from the parents prior to the first visit. Call 909-478-8022 for more information.
Youth Alternative Solutions Program (YASP)
Youth Alternative Solutions Program (YASP). This option should increase an adolescent's knowledge of the effects of drugs and alcohol on the body, consequences of risky behavior with drugs and alcohol, alternative choices, the addictive process, and the self-efficacy of making life choices.

Behavioral Medicine Center
The Behavioral Medicine Center is designed to provide an integrated system of psychiatric and chemical dependency recovery services that are sensitive to the individual needs of each person. For more information on inpatient or outpatient services, call 909-793-9333.
Cancer Center
The Cancer Center staff provides patients with the most advanced techniques in evaluating and fighting cancer, including the world's first proton-beam accelerator designed for cancer treatment. The Cancer Institute staff also includes a number of social workers and counselors who help patients and families cope with the struggle of dealing with cancer. Loma Linda physicians and nurses are trusted experts in fighting cancer--both because they are on the leading edge in cancer research, and because they have considerable experience, seeing over 1,700 new and 9,200 follow-up patients each year. Child Protection Team
Child protection team, a multidisciplinary group of professionals based at Loma Linda University Medical Center, is organized to review cases of suspected child abuse referred to it for consultation. Contact 909-558-8279 for more information.
Children's Assessment Center
Children's Assessment Center is a one-stop center where victims of child sexual abuse can be forensically interviewed, medically examined, and referred for treatment. The Center receives referrals from Child Protective Services, law enforcement, and the Family Court Review Committee. The Children's Assessment Center is a public-private partnership between Loma Linda University Medical Center and San Bernardino County Department of Public Social Services. Center for Health Promotion (CHP)
The Center for Health Promotion (CHP) at Loma Linda University believes the best medicine is not battling disease, but rather preventing disease and illness. The CHP offers a number of health and preventive medicine programs to the public. These include programs and services in weight management, nutrition and cooking, health and risk evaluation, smoking cessation, stress management, addiction recovery, and an international travelers' clinic. Maternity Services
Maternity Services is a comprehensive center for obstetrics and infant care. Families who choose Loma Linda for their care experience the highest possible level of personal attention throughout the woman's pregnancy. You can be assured that if any complications arise for either mother or baby, Maternity Services offers a medical specialist prepared to handle any crisis. Maternity Services patients can participate in physical fitness programs for expectant mothers, preparation for childbirth courses, breastfeeding classes, a newborn care class, and infant-child CPR classes. Patient Family Advisory Council (PFAC)
The Patient Family Advisory Council (PFAC) represents the shared voice of all patients and families. Members advocate to improve the patient experience and share resources to help children both in the hospital and at home. Parents, family members, and guardians are eligible to join.
Family Resource Center
The Family Resource Center provides families of patients help accessing a number of community resources, like food and transportation assistance. The center is open Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 1 – 4 p.m.
