Pediatric Headache Clinic
Headaches can be disruptive to a child's life. When your child suffers from recurrent headaches, it can keep them from fully participating in everyday childhood activities, resulting in missed school, lower academic performance, difficulty sleeping, and changes to family life.
Established in 2017, the Pediatric Headache Clinic sees children of all ages, regardless of whether your child’s headaches are a new or chronic problem. The Pediatric Headache clinic will work with your child on a plan of action for acute attacks, preventive therapies & interventions, and provide headache education and guidance for lifestyle changes so that your child can learn to manage their headaches and get back to enjoying childhood.
Pediatric Multiple Sclerosis Clinic
We provide a well-established clinic for the evaluation and treatment of Pediatric Autoimmune Disorders. Co-directed by Dr. Greg Aaen in pediatric neurology and Drs. Wendy De La Pena and Rhina Castillo in pediatric rheumatology, this is the only center in the region that provides state-of-the-art diagnostic testing and treatment for children with multiple sclerosis and other autoimmune disorders of the nervous system. Patients in this clinic are frequently invited to participate in national and international clinical studies that offer novel therapies to children with these rare disorders.
