We are committed to training not only competent and compassionate physicians who care for our most vulnerable population but also educators for our students and residents. Approximately 25% of our graduates enter into subspecialty fellowships (~50% pursue careers in critical care). The remaining residents join primary care practices, become hospitalists, or work in global health. Almost 70% of our graduates choose to practice in California after residency. Furthermore, our alumni end up continuing on in academic centers, with alumni from our program account for approximately 70% of the residency program’s faculty between the inpatient and outpatient settings.
