Flu Season Hospital Visitor Limitations

Temporary limitations are in place for hospital visitors. Visitors must be 18 years or older and not exhibit any flu symptoms.

  • The application for the Spring March 2020 cohort will be available online Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at 8:00 am through Friday, October 25, 2019 at 8:00 am. *

  • The application for the Fall August 2020 cohort will be available online Tuesday, April 21, 2020 at 8:00 am through Friday, April 24, 2020 at 8:00 am. *

Application Information

QUALIFYING CRITERIA

  • Applicant is a graduate of a BSN program OR is currently enrolled in an MSN program with a BSN equivalent attained by the start of the program.
  • Applicant is BSN-prepared RN with a total of less than six months of nursing experience in any area by the start of the program.
  • Applicant has a valid BLS for Healthcare Providers issued by the American Heart Association. NO EXCEPTIONS. A valid American Heart Association BLS card must be presented at the time of hire.
  • Spring 2020 cohort: 
    •  Last day for NCLEX completion is Friday, March 6, 2020
    • A CA RN license must be issued to each applicant by Monday, March 16, 2020
  • The listed required certifications will be discussed upon hiring prior to the start of the program**
    • Recommend completing all required certifications prior to the start of the RN Residency program

LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION

Two letters of recommendation (preferably on letterhead) need to be attached to your application.

  • Preferred: Two letters from clinical instructors
  • If only one letter from a clinical instructor can be obtained, you may attach a second letter of recommendation from an employer

 Please ensure contact information (phone number and email) of reference is included on each letter of recommendation.

INTERVIEW PROCESS

  • After your application has been reviewed, you will be notified if you have been selected for a formal interview.
  • Job offers are contingent upon the applicant clearing a pre-employment health screen and background check.
