Coming Soon: New Building for Children's Specialty Care
Our new Children's Health Specialty Clinics building will bring 30 pediatric specialties together under one roof, making it easier for families to get expert care.
Our Resiliency Institute for Childhood Adversity (RICA) is a trauma-informed pediatric clinic dedicated to a whole person care approach. Led by Dr. Amy Young, we provide trauma-informed pediatric care (including to children who have suffered maltreatment) and offer integrated primary care, mental health services, and educational advocacy. Our team is committed to helping children reach long-term stability, prioritizing a warm handoff into adult care as they age out of the foster system.
We accept IEHP insurance to ensure accessible care for those who need it most, including foster and homeless youth.
If you or your child have experienced adversity, call RICA to begin the assessment and intake process. Call 909-558-6715 to schedule an appointment with our clinic.
Trauma-informed care is an approach that prioritizes understanding trauma and creating a safe space for healing. Guided by our commitment to compassionate, quality care, our team focuses on physical and emotional safety by explaining each step before any examination, asking permission, and being deeply mindful of potential triggers.
We accept IEHP Direct, IEHP Open Access, straight Medi-Cal (Fee-For-Service or FFS), and some managed care and PPO plans. If a child is just entering the foster care system and does not have insurance yet, we will still see the child and help follow up on the insurance. We will never turn any child in foster care away.
Yes. We see foster children up to the age of 21 who are enrolled with IEHP. If a patient needs assistance transitioning to an adult physician, we can assist them in doing so, ensuring continuous care for the whole person.
